Love your work on this one. Such a fantastic addition to the MCU but likely little to do with Doomsday beyond what I believe is a potential Star Lord appearance, who is supposed to be able to return at some point (I thought - I could be wrong).
See I do wish we see Star Lord in Doomsday, especially given he and Carol are two of their heaviest hitters and they're both on Earth (they fact they aren't confirmed to be in the movie is ludicrous to me).
However, I think they're gonna save him for Secret Wars. Probably budget or logistics related more than anything.
I know it is interesting to see how they treat those characters, or any others not officially confirmed... I fear you may be right... that being said it's hard to see how 'budget constraint' would be a worry for Doomsday based on everyone else hahaha....
The Guardians trilogy plus Christmas special is a high point of Marvel's output, for me. I love Infinity War/Endgame, and Civil War. I really enjoyed the Spiderman movies. Ragnarok is the funniest of the MCU films.
But as you say, Guardians just does everything well.
Im the comic book guy in my house, but my wife likes Guardians, my kids like Guardians, and that franchise has provided us with a huge number of quotable moments we still deploy now. Not to mention a soundtrack we all love.
Absolute peak cinema! I'd put the Guardians trilogy in the top tier section of the MCU! Up there with the Steve/Cap trilogy and the Spider-Man trilogy imo

Have you watched Punisher: One Last Kill?
Im greatly enthused that Marvel didn't water him down from the Netflix version.
Looking forward to seeing him in the new Spiderman and hopefully, more after that.
